Bartender
Bartenders at BHCC are essentially elevated servers. They interact with members on a very close and intimate fashion and must possess the same knowledge of menu expected of their teammates. However, a strong background in craft cocktails, beer, wine, and other alcohols are necessary thus adding to the requirements and pay increase. Bartenders are often the most recognizable staff members at BHCC and are quickly and often well known among our membership. Maintaining professionalism while having an ability to entertain and work under pressure is vital for success.
Job Tasks:
- Possess a current and expansive knowledge of our cocktail, beer, and wine program
- Current knowledge of seasonal menu and changes/modifications for food
- Ability to adhere to our steps of service for food service and bar service
- Daily and weekly cleaning tasks behind the bar to keep a clean workspace and set up the next bartender for success
- Taking out trash and recycling at the end of shift
- Stocking bar to par levels at the start and end of shift
- Answering the phone and taking to go orders
- Working the service station of the bar making drinks for the restaurant
- Banquet work when needed
Pay Range - $10 ($15 hr minimum) to $12 plus tip pool ($17 hr. minimum)
